The Koenigsegg CCR is a exotic sports car manufactured by the Swedish car company Koenigsegg. It was first showcased at the Geneva Auto Show in 2004. The engineers at Koenigsegg claim that the CCR is the fastest road vehicle in the world with a top speed of 240 mph. The previous vehicle which held this record was the Mclaren F1, and the CCR has since been surpassed by the Bugatti Veyron.

The Koenigsegg CCR model is based on the CC86, and though it was the most powerful model produced by the company, it has now been replaced with the CCX. The Koenigsegg CCR shares many features with the CC86, but has a air intake system on the sides, and splitters have been added to the front of the car to generate more downforce. It also has brakes which are much more powerful. In addition to this, changes have been made to the headlights.

The engine housed in the Koenigsegg CCR is very unique. It utilizes a twin screw compression system, and has an exhaust which is made out of titanium. This has pushed the horse power up to 806. The car is capable of producing up to almost 700 pounds of torque. A symbol of a ghost has been placed on the car to honor Swedish fighter pilot Johan Rod. The car broke a production speed record in February of 2005. A team of engineers were present with founder Christian von Koenigsegg to conduct the tests. An independent team was also brought in to verify the results.

The CCR is capable of going from 0 to 60 in 3.2 seconds. It can reach at maximum speed of 242 mile per hour, and it can also produce a maximum of 7600 revolutions per minute. It has two doors and two seats with a hard top which can be removed. The body of the car is made from a mixture of kevlar and carbon fibers, giving it a fantastic amount of strength combined with a light weight. The car also has a double wishbone suspension system.

In addition to the separate brakes on the front and rear, the car also has alloy wheels which are center locking. The car uses a six speed transmission, and is typically orange in color. It uses a V8 engine and a dry sump system for lubrication. The Koenigsegg CCR is one of the most impressive models to be offered by the company.
