It has been years in the making but the New Ferrari 599 GTB is about to make its debut and the throngs of Ferrari fans in the world could not be happier. Unveiled at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show, the new Ferrari 599 GTB showed that it is every thing that the company promised and a whole lot more. For one thing, the car is all aluminum, a marvel of technology and grace.

Taking a page from its own book the company designed the Ferrari 599 GTB from the ground up. This allowed for a few influences to come through, but for the most part this is all new car and proud of it. The major influence came from the Ferrari Enzo by way of the engine. The Ferrari 599 GTB features the powerful V12 monster that tears up the streets with maximum torque and speed capabilities.

The excitement that is being built around the new Ferrari 599 GTB is not unfounded. The sleek new design brings to mind the Ferraris of days past, going back to the 50's and 60's with the cutting edge technology and appealing style. The smooth lines and aerodynamic body style are sure to be a hit even with the every now and again driver.

There is little that has been left out on the new Ferrari 599 GTB. The optional paddle style shifting brings to mind the Formula 1 racers and the six-speed gearbox model makes for some exciting driving. With the design of the engine being so far advanced, Ferrari had the engineers work to save space but maintain power and integrity. The engineers came through in fine style, casting the gearbox with the engine which doubles as the oil tank.

The cockpit is a new design for the new Ferrari 599 GTB. Once again borrowing from Formula 1 (who had a big hand in the creation) the cockpit resembles those of a one seater and offers renowned comfort and maximum space even in a car as small as this. The new Ferrari 599 GTB is actually one of the smallest cars to roll out of the factory, but that has done nothing to dampen the spirit of those who are awaiting delivery.

As drivers the world over await the release of the new Ferrari 599 GTB, there is nothing short of an excited buzz in the driver/owner community. Truly a banner year for Ferrari and their customers.
